Don't mean to burst your bubble or anything but it is generally acknowledged that it can take 3 months for the HIV virus to become active before it shows up on tests, in the meanwhile people that are infected are just carriers.
so if the girl had unprotected sex with someone in the last 3 months she might be a carrier...
