You sound like you must be ripped, what are your gym stats?

My bench is about 85kg and shoulders dumbell presses around 32.5kg. I've stale mated on this and I doubt I'll be able to get a lot stronger without putting on weight first (I'm 75kg)...but I STRUGGLE to put on weight.

How about cardio? I've slacked on that for the last couple of years...
I just blew 3k on a racing bike though, so I'm looking forward to getting back into cycling.
I have done about 27 years combined Martial Arts (Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun, Karate, Judo and some Jeet Kune Do) and Boxing training.

Even though I am not currently training in any of these disciplines in a formal sense, I have held onto the greatest thing that I ever learned from Bruce Lee: "The most powerful weapon in the world is a focussed mind." and Have no limitation as limitation."

My fingers cane after I do one thumb 1 index finger pushuos...yet the satisfaction is food for the mind and I always think of Bruce saying Argue for your limitation and it's yours."

A couple of my mates blew out when they saw me first do it and commented that they could never do that. I said don't try, do it with no doubt! 3 weeks later Kitty and I were at the markets in Hobart and they came up to me and said Dakota watch this and did exactly what they doubted they would ever do. That was a buzz.

I am around 90kg and am fortunate that I have never had any excess fat. I am big boned and a fast gainer with no visible fat.

I can bench twice my weight and triple on excercises like pec decks (probably my best muscle group).

I spent around $2k on an Orbea (Spanish) mountain bike recently and intend to stop driving my car whenever possible and use the bike for fast cardio sprints and long endurance runs.

I skated 200kms in 12 hours (Launceston to Hobart) so I could raise funds to travel to the National Rollerskating Championships. I love to push myself and compared to many.... I haven't really started.

If we doubted ourself less we would all be capable of so much more on every level.

Keep up the good work and your bike sounds like a great investment.

One final thing that just came to me. Mike Nemitz was interviewed by Muscle & Fitness Magazine 10 or so years ago (He had the largest biceps in the world or close to it) and they asked him: "Mike, how many biceps curls do you do?"

He repied: "I don't count....why limit myself!"
