You probably did the right thing. Even if your friend lets other guys do his girl (just speculating here) at some point (if you had fucked her) he may feel differently because his good friend did her. Did that make sense?
Also, if it bothered you, you definitly did the right thing.
In terms of seeing/going out with them again, I think you should just ignore it for now and see what happens. Try to chalk it up to a 'oh well, shit happens', and go with the flo.
