I had a good friend and business associate who went down the same path. I and several of his other friends tried everything to help him get cleaned up, but he wasn't interested, insisted that he had it fully under control. He also disrespected me, brought drugs into my house several times after I told him that wasn't OK. Finally, he moved hundreds of miles away.

Now he's lost everything, claims to be doing methadone, but just does it enough to keep him from withdrawal while he waits to get money so he can buy his drugs. Very sad. He used to be extremely bright and intelligent.
