Sure Sarah... Just seems odd that a guy with previous convictions for rape, indecent assault and false imprisonment goes out and grabs a 15 year old kid, strangles her and carves her body into nine sections with a hacksaw, - gets sentenced on May and expects a favorable hearing from the Court of Appeal four months later.
The appeal is apparently going to be based on his admission in April (one month before sentencing) that he did, in fact, kill the victim and he's now full of remorse. Don't you just want to weep for him - poor lad
Forensics couldn't establish if he sexually assaulted her - the body was mutilated beyond that level.
Think if I committed an offense like that and "felt remorse" - I'd be shutting my mouth and accepting the sentence
Gotta watch out for who you think your friends are around there
PS Like most stuff, there's always a background story which will prob never be known and may lie in the family background. He has two brothers, both of whom were IRA members and convicted for murders in the 1970's.
