Playb*y magazine is about as soft as porn gets, so put that standard at one end of the spectrum. Not as an age issue but because of the degree of offense it causes, put CP on the other end. Somewhere in between is a huge gray area covering the majority of opinions as to where the line should be drawn.

There is a lot more than CP on the wrong side of that gray area, yet CP is about the only thing to which, except individually, we ever say no. From a business point of view, how can that make sense when we know we shall always face vocal critics, who all but have the stage to themselves?

And we don't stop there. Some of our best known names sell over-priced crap and earn money from, if not actually get involved in, some very borderline sales methods. Our leading sponsors earn money from people pushing stolen content. This board, the biggest we have, describes itself as "Where The Industry Meets" and it is worse than embarassing. Be honest, if you weren't in this business, you would wonder what kind of people are here.

We don't seem to want to learn anything. We already have to pay extra money to Visa and work with a whole lot of rules, not merely financial ones. And it's obvious that the government is going to do an end run around the First Amendment sooner rather than later. Yet we carry on as if it's business as usual. Nero was probably paying more attention to Rome burning...
