Conspiracy is a crime, and conspiring to commit a felony is a felony.
Criminal conspiracy occurs whenever two or more people agree or combine to commit a crime and any one person does any act towards committing that crime, although the mere discussion of a felony act may constitute a conspiracy.
All parties involved in criminal conspiracy are subject to fines, criminal charges, or both, up to or equivalent to the penalties of the completed crime, unless the completed crime?s penalty is life imprisonment, as it is for first-degree intentional homicide, in which case the alleged conspirator would be charged with a Class B felony.
A Class B felony is punishable by imprisonment for up to 60 years.
