I've had a couple of friends that have owned Aston Martins. once again, beautiful cars, just very disappointing in overall performance... and i don't mean "get up and go"... i just mean overall. The way the gearbox is designed, you would think AM would design it to shift smoother. it's very much like driving those video game cars at the local arcade where the gear shifter has to be exact. bad analogy, but very precise.

The cars have great torque to them, and for the most part are quiet when driving up to about 60 mph. anything over 60 and you start getting alot of wind noise as well as engine noise.

Test drive one and drive the shiat outta it... you'll see exactly what I am talking about.

And as i've said, you will go through at least 1 gearbox while owning one... usually around the 30k mileage point. Unfortunately it's a common problem... and not in the least bit cheap to fix.
