If he is guilty, fair enough - he's scum and deserves everything he gets, but effectively, he's guilty already.

While I agree with your tone about the media, the guy is getting exactly what he wants, guilty or not. He's the one on TV confessing to the crime. If he's guilty, I hope he goes to jail for the rest of his life. If he's innocent, I hope he gets a lengthy prison term for obstruction of justice.
