Yes, they're queer just like Big Bird. The gayness got to the point where people started complaining about that shit, so in the late 80's, Sesame Street stopped filming scenes with Bert And Ernie sleeping in the same bed. They also stopped filming scenes with Ernie bathing in the tub while Bert was in the same bathroom.
