And in purely practical terms, while legally we can hold gypsies to account if they do not follow our rules, since we have forced them completely outside our societies for so long, would it really be surprising if they have no respect for those societies? All over the world people are preying on their neighbors much as you describe. Given that it is always wrong, is it worse to prey on your own community or on one to which you do not belong?

i don't buy that. its like black people still blaming slavery even though it ended over 100 years ago. the gypsies are choosing to remain outside of society. they could get citizenship, get a job and be just like the rest of us. the excuse that because they were persecuted in the past and are treated like crap now because they refuse to follow the rules everyone one else has to go by just doesn't fly. how do most people 'prey' on their communities? criminals aren't the majority of people out there.
