The Pentagon has said there were 726 military members discharged under the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy last year. That's up 11 percent from the year before.
At a time when we need troops so badly we're issuing stop-loss orders preventing people from retiring, raising the maximum age to enlist to 40, calling back soldiers who have already retired, and are sending national guard troops to active combat, the military is kicking out good men and women, because they're gay.
