The last time I went, back in the mid 90's, Hulett was nothing, just a town on the way to Devil's Tower. Someone mentioned Hulett to me earlier that day but I did not realize I had to go thru it to get to Devil's Tower. When I got there I thought it was the line to get into the monument and I was ready to just turn around. I had seen it before and figured it could not have changed too much.
Like I said, we found a backstreet and bypassed the b.s. We stopped along side the road, snapped a couple pics, then moved along.
The day we went to the FTS my bike about died from the heat and idling just to get thru Sturgis.
I think in the future I will make side trips, like to Yellowstone first, then drop in on Sturgis for an hour or two before heading home.
