For anyone who knows, chow chows are gaurd dogs. they bark at anything that moves. well they said that it was an ordinance in the town so they wrote me a fuckin $110 fine for barking dogs. i was soo pissed off. i basically went off on them. there were 2 cops banging on my door at 2:30 in the morning when 3 people have to get up between 5 and 6. they told me that we need to do something about the barking. im like they are dogs they are going to bark. and the one cop said he witnessed the barking and im like yeah if you walk up to the dog its going to freakin bark. some bullshit. that really pisses me off. so now we either have to pay the $110 or try to go to court over it. any ideas on what grounds i can fight this on. how i would go about it ect....

You cannot fight it. Almost all, if not all, towns/cities have an ordinance against barking dogs. You have the right to own a dog, but you do not have the right to own a dog that barks. In addition most towns/cities, have containment and leash laws. A dog must either be contained or on a leash 24/7. If a dog escapes from its containment or its leash that is not an excuse before the court. In the state of California if a dog bites someone there is not an excuse before the court. The owner is legally liable for all dog bites no matter the circumstance. This includes, burglers, prowlers, etc.
