I'm sure you'd change your mind about the death penalty yourself, if you found yourself wrongly convicted of murder, as we now know happens quite a bit.
Just a question: If you found yourself on death row wrongly convicted of murder, would you be saying, "I didn't commit this murder, but I still think the death penalty is a good thing"?
