That makes alot of sense, if while in prison all of your tormentors are black , and you are in the minority and can't do anything about it ( they beat you and rape you) . Who wouldn't want to extract some payback upon release?

Unfortunately, the nonresponsiveness of authorities to rape complaints only fosters this anger. The problem will probably only get worse because California, like many other states, no longer pursues "rehabilitation". Prisons are solely for punishment. I'm okay with that. But allowing rape to occur is NOT punishment... it's brutal abuse.
