Oh boy....here we go again
You're right. I did not see your design until yesterday. That's because I was not the one reveiewing all of the tours that were submitted. I simply asked my crew to send me their top three picks out of all the submissions. I then choose the one that I liked the best.
We extended the deadline because at the time of the original deadline, my guys informed me that we had only recevied a a few submissions and that they had received several requests for more time. Extending the deadline was a no brianer and since we reserved the right to do so in the begining, I don't see where this is an issue.
The winning design was submitted "complete", in that the tour was done to our satisfaction at the time of submission. However, we did ask for a few changes to be made (different models, etc), which is why it took a little longer for us to get the finished product.
We didn't have an official "2nd place". I was simply making that up on the fly because I thought your design was pretty cool and that you wouldn't mind getting $1,000 instead of nothing. Honestly, I don't even know if we would use it as I'm sure we'll use the winning design for quite some time.
I think the $1,000 is more than fair, considering that we don't NEED a second tour right now and we are giving $5,000 to the winning tour, as promised.
If you don't want the cash....fine by me. I was just trying to give a little credit to you for a nice design
