What are your thoughts about the bible, and jesus and other biblical things? This question just came to mind when some sorry-ass couple started ranting to me about me not getting into heaven because I had a shirt that had a picture of satan.

I personally cannot comprehend people who blindly believe in god almighty, jesus and follow his orders to the extreme. It just is amazing. Why would they do that? Will that make them feel better about themselves? Superior to those that do not believe?
I'd like to know.

What about the bible then? what do you think about that? I think it is just a collection of old stories made by good writers, what I don't grasp is why people think the text is from God, or prophets. It might have been a book of stories for children for all I know.

I don't mean to upset anyone who wishes to believe in god, I'm just saying I don't, atleast in the way the bible shows him. I also don't believe in Jesus, he might have existed, but no way am I going to believe he was born from a virgin.. and was the son of God.

I just thought I'd share. Feel free to comment, I wanna see other points of view.
