History taught you no such thing, your own preconceptions did that. The only lesson of history is that eventually people move on. But "eventually" may be hundreds of years. If that is what you want for your country, fine.

Fortunately most Israelis do not share your point of view. There are a lot like you who think a big stick solves everything, but there are just as many who would pay a high price for peace and the majority just want to live normally, providing they can do so securely. Some people, such as my mother-in-law, have lived there long enough to have endured 70+ years of your "solution". It is beginning to wear a bit thin.

When you get over being so naive, you might want to wonder how much of current events there has more to do with your Prime Minister's appalling popularity ratings than with any tangible benefit for the population at large.
