Oh what the hell, my 2 cents...

Desirae... You're totally hot. However, you shouldn't ask for advice and then shoot the messenger. This thread is really just a shameless attempt at promoting your affiliate program, obviously. The first two comments were valid and your response was bullshit.

Of course everyone uses pop-ups. However, as someone running an affiliate program, especially one that is a revenue share, you should be courteous on that issue. Pop-ups are much more acceptable from sponsors that pay per sign up then they are from people that do a revenue share. The reason? Obvious, you've got nothing to lose versus a pay-per-signup program which is doing webmaster affiliates the courtesy of an up front payout.

Mis-spellings? Honestly, they might add some character to the site if you're really going for the home grown amateur angle... However, I'd really recommend using a spell checker or just plain asking for where they are when someone points it out. Bad spelling really isn't that attractive.

Your site does have too many leaks. Go to the paysite of any major affiliate program and the only outside links you'll find are on the exit consoles. If you want to have all those traffic trades, etc, then copy your site to another subdirectory or send your affiliate traffic to a different version of your site. Your affiliates deserve the opportunity to sell your membership without any distractions. Save reciprocals, traffic trades and other leaks for another 'copy' of your website. I guarantee that if you follow this instruction you'll get more affiliates interested in promoting your site and make much more in the long run.

If you think for one moment a guy wouldn't have been treated 10x worse, you're way off. Because men think with their penis, women have an uncanny ability to spam their sites on GFY without any reprecussions.

Cheers,

Brad
