i dont know anything at all about Macs. But here's a little story...

A couple years ago my boyfriends dad called and said his "internet was acting funny" and could I please come look at it. For some reason Im tech support for everyone within a 10 mile radius even though I just know the basics.

So I go over there and he has a Mac. One of those colored ones. I sit down and turn it on, it takes forever and a day to boot up. Finally I'm sitting there looking at things and I realize I can't click on anything. NOTHING. Pretty soon it starts making all these weird beeping sounds and error messages start popping up everywhere. At this point I tell him "Im sorry but I can't fix it"

So later on, we're all sitting on the couch, no one near the computer at all, and a box pops up on the Mac and starts trying to dial into the net, all on its own. My boyfriend says "what the hell?" and goes over to stop it. As soon as he clicks "cancel" or whatever, the machine freezes. Can't do anything at all. So he wrestles the thing out of it's little cubby in the computer armoire, and gets a paper clip. Im thinking "what the fuck?"

he puts the paper clip in a tiny little hole, and the Mac reboots.

This happened over and over til they got rid of the computer.

True story.
