Seems like only the start to me.
The only thing that made them more secure in the past was that it wasn't worth a hackers time to go after it, because not enough people used it. It had nothing to do with security levels.

They arn't "more" secure. The thing is, nobody uses them so noone programs virus's or tries to find holes for them. If they ever became mainstream people would hack them just like they hack windows.
