In my opinion it's a lot harder to shoot gay content then straight. First of all it's not easy for the guys to stay hard unless they are motivated by more than just money, and this can easily ruin a shoot. With a gay model you can only do one scene, two if you are lucky. On top of this, at least according to my experience it's harder to deal with gay guys than it is with girls. They are much less likely to show up for a shoot and are less dependable in general. Then again, it's easier to get requests for gay content and with the right clients I guess it pays a little better than straight stuff.

Where in T.O are you, by the way? I used to live there for 6 years and loved that city. There is a great thai restaurant on Church St, between Adelaide and Richmond which is close to the gay area where you're probably staying. Check it out if you like thai food.
