Baseball is no longer the great American pastime - football is religion in many parts of the US. Baseball has lost the youth of America - go look at a ballpark and it will usually be empty - kids are on their computers or video game consoles - and playing soccer. football and basketball. Less and less kids are attending major league baseball games.
