Did you expect any other outcome when a country with a very effective army and airforce chooses to devastate largely undefended areas of another country. But you are not seriously suggesting Israel can win this "war"?
Israel pushed the PLO out of Lebanon in 1982: Hesbollah was the reaction to that. Even if they succeed in eradicating Hesbollah, you don't think that maybe, just maybe, given the history of the region, another group will appear to take its place?
