The point he might have been making is that if you draw a line at a place convenient to your point of view and then fill in only the details which likewise support it, you can attempt to prove anything (so long as no-one in your audience knows any better).
I'm curious to know who you imagine you are helping with your posts. Ehud Barak, Israel's Prime Minister a few years ago, said "If we thought that instead of 200 Palestinian fatalities, 2,000 dead would put an end to the fighting at a stroke, we would use much more force". In other words, whatever Israel's reasons for matching violence with violence, it is not expecting peace as a result. But isn't peace what the majority of Israelis want most, so even if not a single voice is raised in criticism against their acts of violence, are they practically any better off?
Barak also said, when asked what he would have done if he had been born a Palestinian, "I would have joined a terrorist organization". That awareness of the other point of view is much more typical of most Israelis I met during the 10 years I lived there, than is the tone of your posts.
