You're right in saying that Israel and Hezbollah are equally evil. The problem is that the innocent people of Lebanon are caught in the crossfire.

The problem with that theory is Hezbollah isn't just some militia group. Hezbollah has a lot of shit going on in their communities hell if it wasn't for the whole extremist part and the terrorist shit they might actually make a half way decant organization for helping people.
They do all sorts of stuff within their communities and even run hospitals.. I mean they have their act together in a lot of ways, but unfortunately they use those means as a way to further their main cause which is the extremest agenda.
So in a sense for Israel to have a real effect on them, they do have to hit
civilian targets. Now of course no one is going to accept letting Israel hitting a hospital just because it's ran by Hezbollah but there are many legit civilian targets.. Kinda like when we went into Iraq, we took out bridges, power plants and so on.
So in reality if Israels goal is to dismantle Hezbollah which was sanctioned by the UN let's not forget. They will have to target the organization's assets and hit them where it hurts. Just killing off the army won't do anything, because the army can be rebuilt if the organization is left in tact.
It would be like the US trying to shut down a organized crime operation by taking out all the thugs but leaving the boss and all the businesses intact.
