Nice Job and great Idea. Without giving too much away, I assume you are parsing the media rss module, correct? It is very robust with the number of secondary elements they have added over the last year. I am working with the media module on a mainstream project and I like working with it a lot. If you are not using the media module, but parsing the results directly, I'd consider using the feed they have for you to save on lines of code, although I don't see any speed issues currently, that may change when more and more people use your script/service.
