I'd take a skilled big man over a g/sf any day of the week. I'd have to say either Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. Shaq possibly but he's starting to break down. You need an interior presence at both ends, it makes the game easier. You can play on the perimeter, it just makes the game harder.

I don't think there's any comparison with going big or small. A solid big man is a rare commodity now days. Athletic wing players are a dime a dozen. Granted Bryant and James are extremely skilled but when you have a dominant post player lanes open up that otherwise wouldn't be there. It makes it easier to spread the floor and get to the basket. Not to mention the importance of having someone that can protect the rim on the defensive end.
