Yep Mr S - There are moves to get an international force active on the borders asap and several EU countries have made offers of contributing to this force - but they are seeking a stronger mandate than currently exists for the border force. Time will tell...
In a way this is also over-riding the US veto since there seems to be negotiating going on to have prisoners exchanged as part of the process.

... ironic that the country purveying more arms in the world than all other nations combined, blocked the veto resolution. It's prob better the US stay out of this scenario and drop all peace process words - they mean't nothing and there was no honest broker unfortunately. Even now - there is no country or group of courties - or organization, that stands out to take any lead in this - not exactly an easy scenario when there is no mediator.
