And I'm serious, I've contacts with the Foreign for Antactic Affairs (something like that translated from Spanish) in Argentina. And that includes travelling from Europe and/or USA.
As a matter of fact going to Anctartica from here is almost free, you need to get to the air base where you'll be taken to Base Vicecomodoro Marambio in Antartica and then you'll need provissions and any instrumental you may use. Any expedition from that base has a team of people making air and sea surveillance for the safety of expeditionay people. Another way is to go on icebreaker expeditions, they go on Spring (September/October) My father did the Anctartica Expedition, even tho he didn't get to South Pole (it wasn't his intention either). He's still shocked like 30 years later, it was something amazing

Maybe so... none the less, I wasnt talking about the numbers of the thing... it will be a historic event no matter who does it first. Just like that milliondollarhomepage.com thing. It was historic for the FIRST guy, not everyone thereafter. So if you can do it cheaper, then go for it.
There arent that many things left on this planet that have never been done before. Myself, I like things like this for sponsorship. Wouldnt it be electrifying to have your company associated with sponsoring something like this? If they make it, it will be talked about extensively in mainstream and scientitific circles extensively... IMHO there is no better way to spend $100 on advertising.
