"I am Jewish and many years ago moved to Israel and received Israeli citizenship. Today, I look upon Israel's brutality in its Gaza and Lebanon rampage with sickening horror.
Israel does not represent me, and Israel has nothing to do with Judaism. Judaism places treatment of fellow beings as its highest value.
I feel anger and frustration when I see much of the Jewish community outside of Israel supporting that country's policies blindly. Where are our eyes, our ears and our hearts? We are incapable of feeling any empathy with anyone's pain other than our own. We are blind and deaf to the horrific suffering Israel is forcing upon innocent Gazans and Lebanese.
