The Congo is filled with a group of people to whom the term "civilization" means something entirely different than the rest of the modern world, so that's not as surprising as this would seem to be.
On a side note, isn't Hebrew the language used most commonly over there? If so, it seems strange for schoolkids to be writing in English. Maybe this was photochopped?
