the problems i have been having are numerous.....but the biggest one is that they keep unplugging the server for what they say is an outbound attack. I realize that this is justified in most situations.......but the thing is they never find anything and neither do myself or my admins.....We have been running servers for about 10 years we have many security measures as well......
My servers get scanned 6 times a day minumum and sometimes 10 or more.....and most the people trying to break in are coming from ev1's network.
They shut one of the servers off the other day and their ticket system was broken and they were not answering the phone......Server was down 13 hours before i got a hold of them and got it back on. I mean you cant run a business on that kind of downtime. I have been a customer there around 5 years as well. Their support has gone to shit...and I am tired of getting unplugged with no solution. Up until now i had run a good hosting company..I am looking to move somewhere else and was going to go to the planet but they just merged......Anyway that is my problem with ev1. I mean if they were finding a compromise I would unserstand but they nor us find anything.......and then if you type outbound attack and ev1 into google you will find alot of wierd forum posts about people having the same kind of unplug problem with no answers.....I realize that alot of people at eev1 just have a server with a couple of sites but i host hundreds and this is inexcusable. The problem is now they own everything
