I feel for you Jim. Grieving is one of the worst, because there is nothing you can do to help the situation. You can't bring that person back. You can't switch places, all you can do is put your head down and bully through the sorrow.
Make the best of it, and just think. you should be honest with your daughter, tell her why and how she died... You will prevent your daughter from ever doing that herself.
