Several years ago I was made a similar, but smaller scale offer and although the pictures did exist, once I requested thumbs of them all and not only sight of a handful of samples, it was immediately clear that they were useless. There has to be a catch of some kind...

That is what I am thinking too. I mean, 2,800 sets mean 2,800 models were paid to do a set (I'm sure models did multiple sets). Time to take the photo's, process them...and then just keep them hanging around and not doing anything with them...until now? This just seems sort of strange.
