Why? 1and1 isn't bad at all. They are transfer nazis, I'll give them that, but they have most the problems with their service fixed now. Now they even notify you when your domains are about to expire
Seriously... that was about the biggest beef I had with them was they wouldn't tell you when your shit was going to expire, but now that they have that sorted through I really see no reason to use them for the majority of personal projects. $5.95 domains really can't be beat, and with FREE ID protection, why the fuck not?
