An air force only matters if you could put planes over another countries airspace or are defending your own. Neither China nor India could put aircraft over the mainland US at any scale and the US won't be flying over either one anytime soon. Ergo, the craft doesn't matter much.
Neutral airspace, I'll stack my F-22 Raptor against any Sukhoi, anyday.
