I'm not sure there is a specific type Americans look for. Hot is hot. As long as they aren't the native Thai or Malay type chicks with the wide noses the general US likes it.

Now the the issue of why we don't see them is just a casting issue. Not many Asian's are on our screens. Men or women. If you notice there are like 5 that you see often. Asians get shafted when it comes to work in entertainment.
