Just like sellers, there's also a wide range of buyers. There's the buyer like some of you who couldn't see the real value of a good domain name if it hit you between the eyes. Hell, you'd miss it if it kept bashing your head in.

The good domains you might be talking about, on bourbonstreet.com level for example at least, are worth a great amount to the right buyer.. just like real estate. The domain owner had some foresight to locate and purchase some property before you did because he saw value in it for investment purposes or future development purposes. Some are quick to develop, and others don't for one reason or another. Not all names are worth only what current traffic or revenue brings. The seller would be an IDIOT to sell you a good name cheap just because it's not currently getting a lot of traffic or earning a lot. I've paid $10,000+ for names many times that weren't earning anything at all, or didn't receive more than 20 visitors per day.

Granted, many have big dreams for their little plot like some of the other examples given in this thread.
