The more proper comparision is Iraq when Saddam was in power. How many innocent Iraqies ( who are shia, kurds, or whatever) were killed my American during the war.
Or maybe Afganistan when the Taliban was running the show, and Al Quada operated like huabolah does in Lebanon.
hizbolah has been growing very powerful during this time, being well armed by Iran and Syria. They have also been launching rockets into Israel on a regular basis. There has also been some concern in the US they they have been expanding their scope of operations into Iraq and other parts of the world. hizbolah should be destroyed - hopefully you are right and they are weak so Israel can finish them quickly.
It is my opinnion that the hizbolah card is being played by Iran to show the west they have power to stir the pot, and get the G8 meetin to focus on Israel/Palistinian/Lebanon rather then Iran's nuclear ambitions.
