Like Jeff said, - there are areas out side the city which are OK - places like San Pedro and Escazu.
Initially it's worth sticking to the outskirts of San Jose - cable etc is no problem and good place for a base to check out the rest of the country. |
Good news, I was speaking with a technician at Amnet just yesterday. Infrastructure is now in place for 2mb cable in Quepos. Coco and Tamarindo are being wired now and should be done soon. Once Flamingo has 2mb cable, I'm gone from San Jose in a heartbeat
