She not only hurts the reputation of the people she accuses, but the University as well. AND, by crying wolf she makes it tougher for other women who accuse someone of rape. It's such a tough thing to prove anyway, being that there are usually no witnesses, it's a character match. So if a stripper gets raped by a "nice, upstanding athlete" people will just think "oh, another stripper lying about being raped".
