For 6 months or more prior to his 18th birthday we searched for designs... essentially other people's tattoos. He knew he wanted a wolf, but not an angry wolf.. more a wise wolf and he knew he wanted it on his upper arm. We finally found a 'paw print" tattoo that he liked the idea of. From there we found looked through books with images of wolves to find the right face to be looking through the pawprint. It's turned out to be the kewlest thing. It's primarily black and shading with a bit of blue in the eyes and white in the teeth. Of course he'll have to have it touched up over the years. A 20 year old tattoo looks....well... like a 20 year old tattoo.

I'm glad I made him wait.. and I'm glad he took time to search for something that was just his...not someone else's tattoo.

Course.. Mom got her 3rd (and largest) at the same time.

I wish my father would do the same with me, but he looks down on tattoos... It was good you made your son wait until he is 18 and he found something he really wants.

I dont think i would want a wolf, skull or anything like that. I more prefer just a so called tribal flash design... I also want it on my upper back so its not always visible
