iPod teen struck by Act of God 11:30AM
A 17-year-old US teenager has blamed his iPod for a lighting strike that left him bleeding from his ears and vomiting.
Jason Bunch was mowing the lawn in Castle Rock, Colorado when he saw the storm coming in; the next thing he knew he was in bed, barefoot and having undressed, with no idea how he got there.
The Denver Post reports that his wounds, 'follow the line of his iPod, from his ears down his right side to his hip, where he was carrying the device. The iPod has a hole in the back, and the earbuds have dissolved into green threads.'
Bunch was listening to Metallica when the lightning struck.
The incident was not unique, in that mobile phones have recently been found to increase the severity of injuries sustained by lightning strikes.
