I thought you guys would like to hear the resolution of this.

I tried to call Dominos the first couple hours they were open yesterday but kept getting a busy signal. It was raining heavily so I waited until it stopped in early afternoon and went to Dominos between running some other errands. There was one girl at the counter, on the phone, and one guy making pizzas. She said something to him and when he replied I'm pretty sure it was the same voice as the one who had hung up on me. When she got off the phone she came to the counter and I requested to see the manager.

A couple minutes later he comes out of the back. Apparently they don't make Dominos uniforms in his size (he was at least 300 lbs), he was wearing a snug black T-shirt that looked like it would disentegrate if he sneezed, no name tag, so I had to take his word that he was the manager. I really wish I had a hidden camera, this guy was so perfect to audition for the part of Fat Albert, not only looks but mannerisms and the way he carried himself

I explained to him what had happened the night before. He asked me the name of my street then remembered the order. He said my card had not gone through and he had tried to call me. He said he did not know that I had called later and was hung up on twice. He then said that if by chance the charge did show up on my card to call and he'd give me a number to call. BTW, this is the first time in the 6 years I've had this card that anyone has had a problem.

Now if I had been that manager remotely interested in keeping a customer (even though the order problem was not the store's) I would have told the customer I was sorry their online ordering experience failed and I certainly would have used the word sorry when referring to that employee's behavior. To his credit he did say he appreciated letting him know about the employee (but apparently not enough to say "Thank you").

So, the resolution? Buh-bye, Dominos. I don't care if you can treat customers here any whay you want to because you're the only one that's re-established delivery since Katrina...
Next time I want pizza I will go pick it up at Pizza Hut or I will make it myself, which is what we did last night... huge hunks of dungeness crabmeat with onions, olives, mushrooms and garlic... Dominos who?
