The thing failed with in seconds well before it blew up or was blown up. So unless there is other intelligence, who knows where it was intended to go?
If it was headed for Hawaii I sure the hell hope it would be shot down well before it got there. There are patriot missles in Hawaii, right?
It would be absolute shit if the missle were let to hit land fall just to rile the world and the US population.
