Just don't do it in public because that adds to the humiliation more than everything else.
This doesn't make you that much different from him and his confused perceptions of the world, doesn't it?
Just move on and leave him be.
I don't know the guy, never worked with him, just can't help feeling sorry for someone who falls that hard.
