I've met many russians... all nice people, I really spent good time with them and enjoyed their company.
The problem is not the people, their actual government is!

You forgot about the bombs in Moscow's apartments? When innocent russians died and the media blamed the chechens for that?
Those bombs where PUTIN's work.. just a diversion, it was a fake reason so he can attack chechnya.. it was very easy for him to became president, he was a national hero...
