It's a very scary feeling, it makes you feel like you are having a heart attack constantly. I usually have panic attacks daily, most often right before I try to go to sleep. As long as I keep busy I rarely if ever have them, but as soon as I get still and my mind starts to slow down bam, panic attack city. I learned to control my attacks pretty well over the years (have gotten good at controlling my heart beat as well, I can usually push it under 50 beats a minute while focusing). I never wanted to get all drugged up... doctor wanted to put me on clonazepam, told me to take them before I went to sleep, but I told him no. I hate medication and I think I do a well enough job with just controlling my heart beat.
